Meet cute little Arnie! Arnie is a Pomeranian/Chihuahua. He is 2 years old and weighs about 9 lbs. He is a special needs dog who is vision impaired and walks in circles. If called he can see shadows and can sense where you are and will come to you. He doesn't like it when you sneak up on him, he always needs to be pet and comforted before picking him up. For this reason he should not be around small children as he nips when he startled.  He is likes to play with small dogs & does an adorable little play bow to encourage the other dogs to play.  He is scared to venture outside unless he's on the patio. He doesn't trust going down stairs, and does not like to walk on leash since he has vision issues. When Arnie comes to bed, he likes to cuddle and give lots of kisses. He is a loving, dog who was a victim of previous owner abuse and needs an experienced, patient, loving adopter who can meet his training needs.  Arnie is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines.  His adoption fee is $150 which helps the rescue cover medical expenses and supplies.  


All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog.



We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience.  To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.



All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog.  



Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.
